You might already have a high definition DVD player, cable/satellite box or some other audio/video device connected to your TV. To have the sound from that device play through your Bose® system, you will need to make audio connections and keep the current video connections as you have them.
There are three possible output connections on your audio/video device that are compatible with your Bose system:
If your device has all three options, choose either digital coax or optical for the best audio quality.
Choose the type of audio connection you want to make from your audio/video device to the Bose system, and follow the steps below:
On the back of your audio device, insert one end of the RCA plugs into the AUDIO OUT jacks. The jacks are white for left and red for right.
Insert the other end of the RCA plugs into the AUX audio in jacks on the Bose media center. The jacks are white for left and red for right.

On the back of your audio device, insert one end of the digital coax cable to digital AUDIO OUT. This might be marked as S/PDIF, and also may be orange or black in color.
Insert the other end of the digital coax cable into the black AUX Audio IN jacks on the Bose media center. This is the bottom jack marked D for digital.

Connect the other end of the cable (composite or S-video) to the video input jack on the Bose system connection panel.
Connect another video cable of the same type to the video output jack of the Bose system and to an appropriate video input jack on the TV.
Note: The same type of cable (composite or S-video) must be used for both input and output. The Bose system will not convert the video signal.
